Empered / toughened/heat treating glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal to increase its strength compared with normal glass. It is about four times stronger than annealed glass. Bent tempered glass is a curved safety glass which has been heated to a temperature where it softens up so that it can be molded into the desired shape. Heat Soak Test, or HST is a process that may expose nickel sulfide inclusions in tempered glass to minimize the risk of spontaneous breakages of heat-treated glass.
